Our Process
Our sustainable, naturally-regenerating forestry plan prioritizes the growth of healthy tree species in our woodlot.
Natural regeneration is the cornerstone of our approach, which entails fostering conditions that enable existing seeds to germinate and flourish into new trees without the need for human intervention.
We achieve this through a comprehensive five-step process.
STEP 01
We eliminate grapevines and invasive plant species that can significantly impede tree growth.
STEP 02
We harvest trees that have fallen due to age or adverse weather conditions.
STEP 03
We selectively harvest low-quality, unhealthy trees that hinder the growth of neighboring high-quality specimens.
STEP 04
We identify and protect "legacy trees" that serve as seed sources for new sapling growth.
STEP 05
We leave tree branches and harvest debris on the forest floor to promote seedling growth. This practice enriches the forest floor with nutrients and supports diverse animal species.

Our caskets come complete with an optional liner kit made from non-bleached broadcloth fabric, ensuring biodegradability and eco-friendliness.
